The Ukrainian language is the official language in Ukraine, however the Russian language is wide-spread in Kyiv and other cities. You can meet the English speaking workers and clients at the restaurants, bars and hotels. Other languages are not so popular in Kyiv.

On weekdays it s better to use subway not the surface transport. (Working hours from 6 00 till 1 00). The price for the public transport is from UAH 0.50 and UAH 2.00.The public transport consist of subway, buses , trams ,mini buses, known as fixed route taxi.

The telephone calls: It s not a problem to make international calls. There are two ways to make a call:1)by phone cards ,which you can use at the public call boxes .You can buy them at the post offices ,as well as in the streets.2).There are telephones at the hotels. 3).You mobile phone in case of connection to the local mobile operators. 4).To make phone calls at the post offices.5).At the Internet cafes .Kyiv has a lot of Internet cafes which work round the clock. Our organizing committee will help you to find an internet cafÈ which is the closest to your staying or to the seminars.

Post offices: Post offices work from 9.00 till 21 00(From Monday to Saturday).Central post office is situated in the center of Kyiv at the Plaza of Independence and work from 8. 00 till 21.00 (from Monday to Sunday).At the post office you can send letters, make international phone calls, use a fax, copier etc.

There are a lot of different cafes and restaurants in Kyiv. It will be easy for you to find a place to your taste. In "Food " section we inform you about places which can interest you.
