Reinaldo Powell was born in Cuba and finished the municipal dance school. Having arrived to Ukraine in students days Reinaldo became the break dance instructor at the popular discotheque "Nivky" and at the club "Lira".Later he was a second part of show-ballet "Admiral"(nowadays its a well-known ukrainian ballet "A-6" ).He has got a higher degree in the Modern dancing field.
Since 1997 Powell is creating and leading Latin America group "Saboreno",which for a long period of time is the only Kiev dancing group who representing different Latin America folk dances.Under his leadership the group took part in show-projects which constantly held both in Kyiv and Ukraine(for example in the concerts at concert hall "Ukraine",at the festival "Tavrysky Igry",in solo concerts with the popular ukrainian singer Olga Polyakova and group "Domino",at the TV programms "Podyom","The fifth studio", "Ne vse doma","Nota Bene").
In 1998 year Powell became the vice-president of the 1st Spanish Latin American cultural centre which was created in Kyiv.He was at the same time The President of the Cuban association in Ukraine.
In November 1999 Powell became the administrator and instructor of the Salsa Dance studio "Salsa Club".
"Salsa Club" grew up into the biggest ukrainian Salsa Studio.We are constantly organizing theme parties,exhibition performances,and its the 3rd time we are holding Salsa Congress "Salsa-Mayovka" and Cuban festival "Cuba Si" in Kyiv with the participation of the world-famous instructors-choreographers in the area of social and Latin American dances.We are regularly giving interviews in the local newspapers and magazines , performing on the TV channels :M1,OTV,TRK "Kyiv",TRK "Era","1+1".
Powell does his best to develop the Salsa movement around Ukraine,he holds seminars in different cities and our Dance Studio has already opened the branches in Charkov,Dnepropetrovsk,Odessa.
